 Puerto Morelos is not exactly a secret destination, but it is certainly not as in-your-face as some of its neighbors. Everyone knows that Cancun is a hot spot for beach lovers and revelers, especially during spring break, but if that's not the scene you're after, there is an amazing alternative. Upon arriving in Puerto Morelos and realize that it is beautiful, relaxing and not as crowded as other Mexican cities, is puzzled why more is not well known.
The answer has to do with the fact that everyone who comes here has a good finish time jealously guarding its discovery. Unless you are specifically looking for an opportunity to be a hedonist with a group of young people stir-crazy, and then Puerto Morelos has more sense than the focus of their hard holiday. Thus, once the passengers set foot in this tranquil and picturesque village known for its barrier reef and the environment, not to ruin everything for spreading the word zealous.
Having discovered the secret, however, thanks to your fate and live in Puerto Morelos. This was originally a fishing village whose
National Marine Park which remains overly developed, and the best way to stay in the spirit of the city is to rent a vacation home on the beach, put your feet up and live as This is where you belong. Puerto Morelos is close enough to Cancun, Playa del Carmen and the ancient ruins of Tulum to make day trips on a child's play, but it will not be surprised if you end up staying close to this small collection of shops and restaurants, beaches and bungalows. Escape the crowds and get cozy with your partner sounds like the perfect way to spend a few days, and again when it is probably just as telling about the trip as possible. Not that you do not want your friends to have a great holiday for themselves, but we will find your own secret place.
